200 young people in the North West of England from Muslim, Palestinian, Arab and Jewish backgrounds dialogue about the Israel / Palestine conflict at our workshops.

April 2008

Receive a £10000 lottery grant. As a result:

July 2008

Young people from Manchester & Rochdale visit Palestinian and Israeli young people attending workshop in Edinburgh.

August 2008

Fantastic day involving 40 young people from Habonim, a Jewish youth group and Muslim young people from Rochdale.

Feb 2009

Launch our resource pack. Over 50 people come from all over the country. Includes youth workers, people of other heritages as well as Muslim, Palestinian, Arab and Jewish, university chaplains, Muslim Youth Work Foundation. Had to turn people away. Day before we launched the pack we heard that we had been awarded over £7600 from the Network for Social Change for work from April 2009.

April 2009

One of our young people, Frances, works with youth leaders in the Reform Synagogue Youth Movement (RSY). She is also an RSY member. As a result, they say:

this emphasis made a real difference. We now need to work on making Windows for Peace an ethos in our organisation for understanding the conflict.

Sept 2009

Amazing two day residential training event with Palestinian and Israeli Facilitators from Windows – Channels for Communication at Warrington Peace Centre. 26 people come from all over the country including youth, church, peace workers, equality and diversity officers.
